Dr. Suketu J. Patel is a dual degree (DMD and MD), board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Patel attended the University of Michigan where he earned his B.S degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Patel continued at the University of Pennsylvania where he received both his dental (DMD) and medical (MD) degrees. After dental school, Dr. Patel went on to complete a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Patel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and he actively participates in numerous professional organizations. Dr. Patel takes pride in providing specialized and empathetic care to his patients. He has extensive training in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with particular areas of interest that include the extraction of wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, pediatric oral surgery, and oral and maxillofacial pathology. In addition, Dr. Patel is a former Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral Surgery and Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Patel is proud to be on staff at East Georgia Regional Medical Center and Emanuel Medical Center, and is an active member of the Ogeechee River Medical Society.
Dr. Sellers grew up in nearby Hazlehurst, GA. He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated in 1996 with a BBA in Business/Marketing. Upon graduation, he pursued a career in sales and IT. Life threw him a couple curveballs, but in 2011 he began to pursue his dream of becoming an oral surgeon at Augusta University. He graduated in 2015 with his DMD and continued to pursue his specialty degree until his recent graduation in 2021.
While in residency Dr. Sellers enjoyed many aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery that included TMJ surgery, Facial Trauma Surgery, Benign Pathology Surgery, Cranial reconstruction surgery, with a strong focus in Dental Implant Surgery.
Dr. Sellers married his wife, Mia, in 1998 after meeting her while at GSU. They have two boys, Kyle & Carter. They are attending Dental College of Georgia and Georgia Southern respectively.
Dr. Sellers is a member of AAOMS (American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons), American Dental Association, American Student Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Rodrigo L. Uribe is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in Statesboro, Georgia. He graduated with honors from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine where he received his dental (DMD) degree. Dr. Uribe completed his oral surgery residency at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center (Fort Gordon) in Augusta, Georgia. He maintains a high level of proficiency in his field with particular emphasis on Dental Implants, extractions, and trauma.
Dr. Uribe is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and American Dental Society of Anesthesia, and Member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and American College of Oral Implantology.
